The largest village in the northwest of Chios island built in an amphitheatrical style on a hill where a medieval fortress reigns supreme. Today about 500 inhabitants reside in the village, ideal for those in search of peace and calm, just what is needed to escape from the hustle and bustle of big centers. The view of the Aegean Sea is breathtaking.
The beaches are at walking distance (approx. 1,5 km), with a large selection of either sandy or pebble beaches to choose from.  In Volissos you will find a small medical center, a pharmacy, police station, post office, two small grocery stores, three family taverns, three cafeterias, a children’s playground, ATM, and even a small folk museum.
